Gmina Gidle (Gidle)
Gmina Gidle is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Radomsko County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. Its seat is the village of Gidle, which lies approximately 13 km south of Radomsko and 93 km south of the regional capital Łódź.
The gmina covers an area of 116.32 km2, and as of 2006 its total population is 6,610.
During the German invasion of Poland in 1939, Wehrmacht soldiers murdered 72 civilians from the villages in the region by shooting and throwing people into fire. The murdered included infants, children, the elderly and women.
